Sun 22nd June, Hadrians Wall Day 2 GOSH

Today is the second day of our trek on Hadrains Wall with Great Ormond Street Hospital. It is a slightly shorter route today, 10 miles, and will take us via Housesteads Fort to our final destination of Brocolitia.

We set off early from the campsite in some good weather to rejoin the wall where we had finished the previous day. We had a few tired legs and aching muscles as we set off but soon everyone got into their stride. This section of wall is very undulating and very scenic and the miles past quickly. Soon we reached Sycombmore tree Gap, part of the film set for a Robin Hood movie. After a short break we continued onto Housesteads Fort where some folks got dressed up as Romans before we stopped for lunch. The section in the afternoon is much less undulating and finishes with a long flat section to the fort at Brocolitia and our finish line.
Again Debbie and Alex showed great speed and ran head to cheer us in a pour a glass of champagne for the challengers to celebrate. All of the clients succesfully completed the challenge and helped raise a large amount of money for a good cause.
